ANEEL issues public utility declarations for lands in SP and PE

Strips of land located in São Paulo and Pernambuco were declared to be of public utility by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) for purposes of expropriation and administrative servitude.The areas are needed for the implementation of transmission undertakings in these states.The decisions made at the last public meeting (2/22) favor the Companhia Paulista de Força e Luz (CPFL) Paulista and Energética Suape II, respectively.
In São Paulo, the lands will be used for installing the Campinas 18 substation, in Campinas. In Pernambuco, the declared lands are needed for running the transmission line that connects the Suape II thermoelectric plant to the Suape II substation.The lands are located in the cities of Cabo de Santo Agostinho and Ipojuca.(DB/GL)
