The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency’s (ANEEL) board kept the R$ 4.6 million fine against Boa Vista Energia for the company’s improper technical-commercial service. The decision was taken at the meeting last 22nd.
The Agency’s inspection group verified that Boa Vista did not comply with deadlines for services provided to consumers like connections, reconnections and emergency reconnections. The company has nearly 81 thousand consumer units in Boa Vista (RR) and neighboring communities.
At the same meeting, Centrais Elétricas de Rondônia S.A. (CERON) was also fined R$ 889.3 thousand for inconsistent data sent to ANEEL for calculating technical energy losses and evaluation of the reference company, used in the Second Periodic Tariff Review. It serves 469 thousand consumer units in 52 Rondônia municipalities.
The board’s decision puts an end to the possibility of appeal by the concessionaires in the administrative realm (FA/GL).
