The decision on the request to defer the beginning of supply from the Bertin Group's six thermoelectric plants (TEP) was postponed by the ANEEL board. The subject was on the agenda for yesterday’s (3/1) public meeting, but director André Pepitone da Nóbrega asked for time to analyze the proceedings. The Bertin Group also requested exemption from the obligation to restore the plant’s guarantees at the Chamber of Electric Energy Commercialization (CCEE).
The MC2 Feira de Santana, MC2 Dias Dávila 2, MC2 Dias Dávila 1, MC2 Catu, MC2 Camaçari I and MC2 Senhor do Bonfim plants, energy sellers in auction A-3 de 2008, should have begun commercial operations on January 1 of this year. The company claims that the delays in issuance of approval documents generated delays in the works timetable.
In January of this year, after a request from the enterprise, ANEEL authorized a change in installed capacity for each of the plants to 176.5 Megawatts (MW). The Agency had also accepted a change in the restricted interest transmission systems for the referred to plants and the location of the enterprises to the city of Candeias (BA). (FA/GL)
