The National Energy Agency wants to hear the people about the regulation of Ombudsmen of the concessionaires and permit holders of public electric energy distribution. For that matter, Public Consultation No. 21/2010 was opened. The deadline for participation in society through the submission of contributions is March 25th, 2011. An onsite session will be held in the auditorium of ANEEL, Brasilia (DF) on March 18th, from 2pm to 6pm.
Currently, 90% of the franchised distribution of electricity have an ombudsman, and 65% were created more than five years ago. The idea is to standardize procedures for the purpose of complying with the ombudsman function as an additional instance for consumers to request the resolution of questions to pay claims.
