The National Energy Agency (Aneel) holds, next Wednesday (03/16), at 2pm, in the auditorium of the agency in Brasilia (DF), the live session of pubic hearing No. 120/2010 on the amendment of the rate structure applied to the sector of electricity distribution in Brazil. The period for receiving contributions, which started in 12/17/2010, ends on 03/18.
The rating structure is how the different types of consumers pay for electric energy use. The energy rate is actually the apportionment of all costs incurred by the distributor to take energy to their consumers. The goal of reviewing the rate structure is that, over the years and the many changes in the organizational form of the energy sector, rate signs were out of date and cannot reflect to the consumer the efficient use of the system.
