The board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) deliberated, in collegiate meeting held yesterday (03/15), three actions brought by companies Companhia Energética de Alagoas (CEAL), Centrais Elétricas de Rondônia S/A (CERON) and Itumbiara Transmissora de Energia Ltda. In the case of CEAL, the review conducted in 2009 detected some violations committed by the distributor, for example, failure to maintain substations. The company had been fined almost in BRL 3.2 million, a figure reduced to BRL 2.37 million after consideration of the appeal filed by the company. The violation of CERON refers to lack of regulation of the levels of supply of voltage measurements in samples taken in 2008 and 2009. The fine, maintained by the board, was BRL 1.47 million. Transmitter Itumbiara violated operating and maintenance procedures, which is why it had initially been fined at BRL 527,260, a figure that dropped to BRL 84,730 after a review of the company’s appeal.
