The company Companhia Hidro Elétrica do São Francisco (CHESF) was authorized by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) to achieve reinforcement of their transmission facilities to improve care of the power supply to the Northeast of the country. Investments will be made in 14 substations and three transmission lines worth BRL 251.3 million. To pay for this supply, the company will be entitled to plots of the Annual Revenue Allowed (RAP)* of BRL 35.2 million.

The reinforcements allowed for CHESF facilities are provided in the Consolidation of Basic Network Works in the period from 2010 to 2012.
The corresponding figures for new installments of the RAP of companies are considered as from the start of commercial operation of the reinforcements, based on the shelf life of the equipment. The RAP is established by the Agency to pay the utilities' investments in transmission facilities of electric power. This recipe also covers operation and maintenance of costs that companies have with these businesses. (DB/GL)
