Sector undertakings receive declaration of public utility

Strips of land located in Porto Velho, Acre, Rio Grande do Sul and Sergipe were declared to be of public utility by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) for purposes of expropriation and administrative servitude.The decision was made by the board at last Tuesday’s (3/22) public meeting. The areas are needed to implement transmission and distribution enterprises by Rio Branco Transmissora de Energia S.A (RBTE), Eletropaulo Metropolitana Eletricidade de São Paulo, Empresa de Transmissão de energia do Rio Grande do Sul (RS Energia) and Energisa Sergipe Distribuidora de Energia S.A.(PG/GL)
