The decision on the administrative resources for the notices of infraction for Bertin Group's six thermoelectric plants (TEP) was postponed by the ANEEL board. The subject was on the schedule for today’s (4/5) public meeting, but director Romeu Donizete Rufino requested examination of the proceedings.
The company was fined R$ 1.2 million by Agency inspectors for noncompliance with the timetable for the MC2 Feira de Santana, MC2 Dias Dávila 2, MC2 Dias Dávila 1, MC2 Catu, MC2 Camaçari I and MC2 Senhor do Bonfim plants. The plants were energy sellers at auction A-3 of 2008, and commercial operations were projected for January 1 of this year with the production of 611 average Megawatts. The company argues that the delay in issuing the concession document generated the delay in the works timetable.
At the meeting held 3/29, the Board denied the request by the Bertin Group to postpone the beginning of generation from its six thermoelectric plants (TEP) and the request for exemption from the obligation to cover contracted and non-generated energy (ballast recomposition) from these plants at the Chamber of Electrical Energy Commercialization (CCEE).
