Company Usina Central Olho D'Agua S/A was authorized by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) to act as autoproducer* of electricity in the city of Camutanga, in Pernambuco. The company will explore Thermal Power Plant (TPP) Central Olho D'Agua. The TPP has an installed capacity of 25 Megawatts (MW) and uses sugar cane bagasse as fuel.
The authorization was decided at the collegiate meeting of the board of Aneel, held last Tuesday (04/12). Brazil currently has 274 autoproducers of energy, of which 37 sell the surplus energy produced.
