It was approved last Tuesday (05/03) public hearing in order to improve the methodology used by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) to calculate electrical losses of distribution systems. The result is used in the Periodic Rate Review of electric energy distribution concessionaires. The current methodology for calculation began in 2003 and is described in Proceedings of Electric Power Distribution in the National Electric System (PRODIST), Module 7, in Calculation of Losses in Distribution.
The main changes proposed at the hearing are: replacement of the calculation of loss by calculating maximum demand for average demand, improvements in models for calculating losses in the network segments, especially in the calculation model of networks of Average Voltage Distribution System, and use of information Campaign Measurement regulated in Module 2 of PRODIST in Expansion Planning of Distribution System.
The proposed enhancements have as main objective to simplify the existing calculation models and require the least possible amount of information to distributors, thereby maintaining an appropriate level of precision. Contributions can be sent in the period from May 5 to June 3 to the e-mail: ap025_2011@aneel.gov.br. (PG/GL)
