Company Companhia Hidroelétrica do São Francisco (CHESF) was authorized by the National Agency (ANEEL) to achieve reinforcement of their transmission facilities to improve care of energy supply in the Northeast region. The decision came at a board meeting held last Tuesday (05/17).
The board authorized reinforcements in eight lines and 12 substations. To pay for these investments, Chesf will be entitled to portions of the Annual Revenue Allowed (RAP)* of BRL 12.9 million. Check here the list of reinforcements and the values of the RAP.
The reinforcements allowed for CHESF facilities are provided in the Consolidation of Basic Network Works in the period from 2010 to 2012. The corresponding figures for new installments of the RAP of companies are considered from the start of commercial operation of the reinforcements, based on the life of the equipment. The RAP is established by the Agency to pay the utilities' investments in power transmission facilities. This revenue also covers operating and maintenance costs that companies have with these businesses. (DB/GL)
