Thermal Power Plant (TPP) Jaraqui, located in Manaus (AM), will double its installed capacity of 83.28 megawatts (MW) to 156.64 MW. For that will, 23 new natural gas powered generators be deployed with total capacity of 75.47 MW, power that will be added to the capacity of oil-powered generators which already exist, becoming bi-fuel. The request to increase the capacity of the plant was approved at the last public meeting of the board (05/17). Breitener Jaraqui S.A. holds the authorization for establishment and operation of the TPP, in the Independent Producer mode . (FA / GL)
