The National Energy Agency (Aneel) approved today (05/31) in a public meeting, the request for transfer of corporate control of Brasil Central Energia Ltda., Currently held by Gaia Energia e Participações Ltda., for Topázio Energia S.A. The Agency also established a deadline of 90 days for the restructuring to implemented and executed and that documents evidencing the transaction are forwarded to ANEEL within 30 days after the consummation of the transaction. Brasil Central Energia is authorized as an independent power producer to establish and operate the Sacre 2 Small Hydro Power Plant, with 30 megawatts (MW) of installed power, in the municipality of Campo Novo dos Parecis(MT).
