Company Macaúbas Energia Renovável Ltda. was authorized to act as independent producer of electric power by the establishment and operation of Small Hydro Power (SHP) Caquende with four megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.
The SHP is located in the municipalities of Bonfim and Piedade dos Gerais, in Minas Gerais. The decision was taken by the Board of ANEEL last Tuesday (05/31).
The Board also decided to establish the percentage of 50% reduction to be applied to the Usage Rate of Transmission Systems (TUST) and the Usage Rate of the Distribution System (TUSD), focusing on production and consumption of electricity sold by SHP Caquende, while the power injected in the transmission and distribution is less than or equal to 30 MW
