The management board of ANEEL (the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency)approved in a public meeting on June 21 the tariff correction of concessionaire Copel Distribuição S.A. (COPEL-DIS). The new tariffs will be in effect on June 24, 2011 and will be applied to 3.7 million consumption units from 393 cities in the state of Paraná.
The average effect to be noticed by the consumers served by COPEL-DISwill be 2.99%. See below the rates that will be applied to the electricity bills of consumers served by thisdistributor:
