Companies Copel Distribuição (Copel) and Companhia Campolarguense de Energia (COCEL), in Paraná, were penalized with fines of BRL 6.5 million and BRL 328.3 thousand, respectively, for irregularities in the calculation of quality indicators in 2009. The breach of these indexes in 2006, the Companhia Estadual de Energia Elétrica (CEEE), of Rio Grande do Sul, was penalized with a fine of BRL 5.6 million. Another fine was confirmed to Companhia Energética de Alagoas (CEAL), for infringement of the telemarketing service quality indicators, with a fine of BRL 193,700.

*The DEC and FEC are collective indicators, accompanied by ANEEL through subdivisions in the concession areas of distribution, called electrical assembly. The DEC (Equivalent Length of Interruption per Consumer Unit) indicates the number of hours that an average consumer is left without power for a period, usually months or years. The FEC (Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit) indicates how often, on average, there was an interruption in the consumer unit (residence, commerce, industry etc.).
