The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) authorized the execution of financial security of company Construção e Manutenção Eletromecânica S.A (CME) for the breach of obligations of the winning bid of the B Lot of Transmission Auction no. 001/2009, held on May 8, 2009. The guarantee of BRL 700,000 was paid on 06/17.

CME had claimed its proposal was no longer valid at the time of signing the concession contract, as it would happen after the deadline, which is 90 days after approval of the auction. The issue was examined in court, with a decision favorable to ANEEL. 

The B Lot of the auction was composed of transmission lines  Porto Alegre 9 – Porto Alegre 8, at 230 kV; Nova Santa Rita – Porto Alegre 9, at 230 kV; Monte Claro – Garibaldi, at 230 KV and of substation Caxias 6, at 230 kV. The project was restructured and the works were auctioned again in Broadcast Auction No. 001/2010 and No. 008/2010. 

Transmission lines and substations that make up the project go through the municipalities of Porto Alegre, , Alvorada, Viamão, Canoas, Nova Santa Rita, Campo Bom, Sapiranga, Aricá, Parobé, Taquara, Candelaria, Vale do Sol, Caxias do Sul, Ijuí , Nova Petrópolis and São Francisco de Paula, in Rio Grande do Sul. The works will be performed by pela Empresa de Transmissão do Rio Grande do Suland Consórcio PROCABLE/CEEE-GT/INSIGMA.
