The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) signed a cooperation agreement with Entidade Reguladora dos Serviços Energéticos de Portugal (ERSE) to exchange knowledge, information and experiences related to regulation of the electricity sector.
The deal took place last Friday (07/01) during the Fourth Annual Conference of RELOP – Energy Regulators Association of Portuguese Speaking Countries, in Brasilia (DF). The meeting was attended by Brazilian regulators (ANEEL and ANP), Portugal, Mozambique, Angola and Cape Verde.
In the cooperation agreement, there will be focus on the following topics: organization and functioning of regulatory bodies, legal and technical documentation, training and personnel, technical and legal studies, among others. The agreement does not involve financial obligations in nature, so there will be no transfer of resources between regulators. (GL/DB)
