The board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved last Tuesday (12) the declaration of public utility, for purposes of administrative easement, of land strips needed for the passing of the Small Hydroelectric Plant (SHP) Transmission Line Pontal do Prata – Substation Chapadão do Céu. The decision favors the company Rialma Companhia Energética V S.A. The line is located in the state of Goiás.
The lands located in the municipality of Guamaré, Rio Grande do Norte, were also declared of public utility. The decision favored the company Brasventos Aratuá 1 Geradora de Energia S.A. The land strips are needed for the passing of the Transmission Line Substation Aratuá 1 – Substation Miassaba 2 – Substation Guamaré.
Finally, in the state of Ceará, the lands to be used for the expansion of Substation Acaraú II – located in the municipality of Acaraú – were declared of public utility, for purposes of expropriation on behalf of Companhia Hidroelétrica do São Francisco (CHESF).
The general procedures for application of a public utility declaration of lands needed for implementation of electricity generation, transmission and distribution facilities by concessionaires, permit holders and licensees for purposes of expropriation and institution of administrative easement are provided for in ANEEL Resolution 279/2007.
