The board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) decided to transfer the authorization for deployment and exploitation of the small hydroelectric plant (SHP) Jambo, located in the municipalities of São Sebastião do Alto and Santa Maria Madalena, in Rio de Janeiro. With the decision taken yesterday (07/12) at a meeting of the college board, the company RBO Energia S/A kept ownership of the plant.
The companies Pires Administração, Planejamento e Participações S/A, Arcadis Logos Energia S/A and Planave S/A Estudos e Projetos de Engenharia previously had authorization to produce electricity through installation of the SHP with 17.2 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.
The board of ANEEL promoted the transfer following approval, by the technical area, of the legal and tax regularity, technical qualification and financial capacity of the company RBO Energia S/A. (DB)
