The board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) has decided to transfer the authorization to explore the thermal power plant (TPP) Cuiabá. With the decision of last Tuesday (07/12), the authorization of the thermal plant was transferred from Empresa Produtora de Energia Ltda. (EPE) to Petróleo Brasileiro S/A (Petrobras).
The technical area of the Agency recommended the transfer of the plant’s grant after attesting the technical, legal, and tax regularity of the interested company. The TPP Cuiabá has 529.2 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity and is located in the capital of Mato Grosso. (DB)
