It was approved today (07/18) at the 4th Public Ordinary Meeting, the notice of Reserve Power Auction No. 03/2011 for hiring energy from wind and biomass sources, with supply beginning as from July 1, 2014. The top price stipulated by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) for the auction is BRL 146 per megawatt/hour (MW/h).
The event will be held on August 18, by the House of Energy Commercialization (CCEE), in São Paulo. The auction will be conducted over the Internet and electricity will be subject to negotiation through Reserve Energy Contract (CER) in the amount of energy per mode. The energy contracts have undergone significant changes in order to provide greater clarity to the obligations of the parties.
The notice must be published in the Official Journal on Tuesday (07/19). Documents relating to the auction will be available on the ANEEL website (www.aneel.gov.br), in Entrepreneur Space, Generation Notices. (FA/GL/DB)
