The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved at the public meeting this Tuesday (07/19), the framing of Brasil Bio Fuels in the framework of subrogation of benefits from the apportionment of the Fuel Consumption Bill (CCC), on the efficiency of thermal plant (TPP) Brasil Bio Fuels in the city of São João da Baliza, in Roraima, biomass fuel (wood chips/waste wood). Subrogation is a financial incentive provided to encourage the replacement of thermal generation with petroleum fuels or other sources to make the plant more efficient.
TPP Brasil Bio Fuels is eligible for classification in the subrogation because its implementation will promote the deactivation of diesel thermoelectric plant in Roraima, with the activation of a thermoelectric plant of 10 megawatts (MW) to serve the surroundings of Rorainópolis(RR).
The mechanism of subrogation of the CCC provides allocation of resources to replace thermal generation projects derived from petroleum fuel for Small Hydro Power (SHP), pipelines, wind farms, biomass and natural gas plants with efficiency projects for existing power plants that promote the reduction of the current or future expenditure of CCC of isolated electricity systems.
ANEEL fixes the amount to be subrogated to BRL 28.8 million, representing 75% of BRL 38.4 million, recognized and approved by the Agency to implement the project. It was also established that the benefit of subrogation is passed on to the price of purchase and sale of electricity to meet the service delivery agreements by the company under the Isolated Systems Auction No. 02/2010, under penalty of revocation of authorization.
In the same public meeting (07/19), Araguaia Sanata I also had the same right. (FA/GL)
