The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) published Technical Note No. 21/2011-SRD/ANEEL which presents the analysis of the contributions received in the second part of Public Hearing No. 46/2010 concerning the methodology to set the limits of the collective continuity indicators, Equivalent Duration of Interruption per Consumer Unit – DEC and Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit – FEC and the creation of the performance indicator of overall continuity.
The proposal aims to apply the new methodology for defining the limits of the DEC and the FEC of electricity distributors in the 3rd cycle of periodic rate reviews. The proposal amending Module 8 of the Distribution Procedures of Electrical Energy in the National Electrical System – PRODIST will be decided by the Board of ANEEL, in a public meeting.
In each period of rate review, new limits are set for the DEC / FEC indicators, with a skeptical path for the following years. From one cycle to another, these limits become smaller requiring efforts by the company to provide the best service provision.
