The Board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) will temporarily judge resources of agents or consumers interposed in the Public Service Regulatory Agency of Santa Catarina (AGESC). The measure is necessary due to lack of quorum of the Superior Board of the state agency to decide on the matters. The decision was taken during the board meeting of ANEEL, last Tuesday (07/26).
A cooperation agreement signed between ANEEL and AGESC established the decentralization of the complementary activities of regulation, control and supervision of services and electricity facilities. Thus, agencies can enjoy private hospital resources in up to two instances, given that the decision of the ultimate instance of the convened agency may appeal to the Board of ANEEL.
According to the Attorneyship, Law No.9784/99 provides for call-back event of temporary power in case of exceptional character. Thus, the board of ANEEL can hear cases from AGESC until the situation is normalized with the complete formation of the agency advisory board convened. (PG/GL)
