The concession contract of Lot A of Transmission Auction No. 008/2010, held December 9, 2010, was signed today (07/27), at a ceremony held at the National Energy Agency (ANEEL). The contracts of the other lots were signed on June 16, 2011.
Lot A was won by the Procable/CEEE-GT/Insigma Consortium formed by Procable Energia e Telecomunicações S.A. (40%), Companhia Estadual de Geração e Transmissão de Energia Elétrica – CEEE-GT (20%) and Zhejiang Insigma United Engineering CO, LTD. (40%).
For the lot above, the entrepreneurs proposed Annual Revenue Allowed (RAP) of BRL 19.98 million, a discount of 46.12% compared to the proposed RAP. To construct the four substations and five transmission lines with 102 kilometers (km) in length, 1,500 direct jobs should be generated. The construction period is of 24 months.
Check here the seven lots of projects auctioned in 2010, with 555 kilometers (km) of transmission lines and nine substations, disputed by 14 companies and 10 consortia. The investors are Brazilian, Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese. The works will generate about four thousand direct jobs and demand investments of BRL 785.8 million. A batch of enterprises (Lot E – Xavantes/Pyrenees Transmission Line, in Goiás, with 50 km) had no bidders.
The auction average discount was 43.67%. The Annual Revenue Allowed (RAP)* of the companies that will operate the lines and substations fetched in seven lots was planned BRL 93 million, which closed at BRL 52.42 million with the completion of the auction. This difference will contribute to low rates, for the revenue of transmitters is a component of the energy cost.(GL/DB)
