Company Brasil Bio Fuels S.A. – BBF was authorized by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL), at the last public meeting (26), to act as an independent producer of electricity by thermoelectric power plant Benjamin Constant in the municipality of Atalaia do Norte, Amazonas.
HPP Benjamin Constant will consist of a generating unit using biomass made of elephant grass and palm oil as fuel and will have 9.8 MW of installed power.
As the plant will use biomass fuel, it will have a reduction percentage of 50% to be applied to charges of TUST and TUSD, focusing on the production and consumption of energy traded, while the power injected into the transmission or distribution system is less than or equal to 30MW, to be made effective as from the publication of the Authorizing Resolution.
