The companies Quartel Um Energética S.A., Quartel 2 e Quartel 3 were authorized to establish themselves as independent producers of electricity to implement and operate the Small Hydroelectric Plants Quartel 1, 2, and 3, located in the municipalities of Gouveia, Santana do Pirapama, and Conceição do Mato Dentro (MG). The decision was made during the meeting of the Board last Tuesday (02/08). Each plant has an installed capacity of 30 megawatts (MW).
ANEEL’s Generation Database (BIG) recorded last Friday (05/08), the existence of 972 independent electricity producers authorized by the Agency.
