The second day of the events 6th Congress on Technological Innovation in Electric Power (CITENEL) and 2nd Seminar on Energy Efficiency in the Electricity Sector (SEENEL) had many discussions about the projects of Research & Development (R&D) and Energy Efficiency regulated by the National (ANEEL). One point was the definition of strategic R&D themes.
The discussion panels this Thursday (08/18) also addressed the impacts of Law No. 12.210/2010 in energy efficiency projects, as well as partnerships with industry to develop R&D projects and the effectiveness and sustainability of energy efficiency measures.
The events, coordinated by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) and organized by the Companhia Energética do Ceará (COELCE), have 720 registered participants and 85 registered companies. During the day, there were also technical seminars and business roundtables.
The objective of the CITENEL is to attract the interest of industry and increase their participation in projects, so that the results come more quickly to the market. "We want to give visibility to P&D programs for society and also keep the technology providers to in touch with the electricity industry," said Superintendent of Research and Development and Energy Efficiency of ANEEL, Máximo Luiz Pompermayer.
During the SEENEL, energy efficiency measures developed by the distributors have been pointed out, which are important in combating the waste of electricity. "The public policies of an educational nature are very important to create the culture to combat energy loss. And by presenting the energy efficiency projects, we will also be accountable to consumers about the work we do," said the superintendent.

The 6th CITENEL and 2nd SEENEL will end this Friday (08/19), at Fábrica de Negócios, in Fortaleza (CE). On the last day of the event, it will be discussed issues related to supervision and control of projects of R&D and Energy Efficiency.
