Low-income customers with consumption greater than 40 kilowatts/hour (kWh) and lower than 65 kWh have until (09/01) to register in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico) and thus ensure the maintenance of receipt of the rebates provided for in the Electric Energy Social Rate (TSEE). After registering, the consumer should look for their electricity distributor to confirm the registration and continue to be entitled to special prices.
Check out the schedule for completion of benefit to those who do not fit the new criteria or who do fit in it, but are not in the Single Registry.
Any low-income consumers that meet the eligibility requirements for social rate should look for the energy management of the Bolsa Familia program in their city hall. More information about this process can be obtained from the MDS website. After the registration, you must seek the distributor to verify the registration. (GL/DB)
