The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Board (ANEEL) board analyzed a petition from the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) concerning Normative Resolution no. 440/2011 at the last board meeting on (8/30). It decided to suspend efficacy of the norm that refers to consideration of plants simulated individually in price formation and operation planning computation models that had not begun commercial production.
The Agency also approved a public hearing to discuss improvements of these criteria.The hearing initiated today (9/1) will go until October 3 of this year.
At the same board meeting last Tuesday, ANEEL considered the norm effective for those plants in commercial operation since the date of its publication.
