Centrais Elétricas do Norte do Brasil S/A (Eletronorte) won the competition for Lot B of Transmission Auction no. 004/2011, held by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) on Friday (09/02). The company's final bid was BRL 3,940,000.00, an amount 44.08% less than the Annual Revenue Allowed (RAP)*, an initial set by the Agency.The RAP is the recipe that the entrepreneur is entitled to for providing the transmission service from the start of commercial operations of the facility.
Eight bidders competed for Lot B, but as the difference between the lowest bids was less than 5%, the event went to the stage with the speakerphone bids between Eletronorte and Isolux Energia e Participações S/A.
Lot B is composed of two substations in Pará, which will be a long-term structural solution for the metropolitan region of Belém (PA), provided to meet the demands and expanding of the Tucuruí area. The works must be completed 24 months after signing the concession contract, generating an estimated 290 direct jobs.
