Costa Oeste Consortium wins the competition for Lot E

Lot E of Transmission Auction no. 004/2011, held by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) on Friday (09/02),  was taken by Costa Oeste Consortium, formed by Copel Geração e Transmissão (515) e Eletrosul Centrais Elétricas S/A (49%), with a bid of BRL 8,880,000.00, which represents a discount of 3.13% compared to the Annual Revenue Allowed (RAP)*, an initial set by the Agency. The RAP is the recipe that the entrepreneur is entitled to for providing the transmission service from the start of commercial operations of the facility.

Lot E is constituted by transmission line Cascavel-Umuarama, which is 143 kilometers (km) long, and substation Umuarama, in Paraná. With the completion of the works, scheduled for 24 months, it is expected to enhance the energy supply to the Northwest of Paraná. 375 direct jobs are expected. Lot E became part of auction no. 008/2010, but was removed after it was decided there was a need to review the extension of the line.
