Lot J of Transmission Auction no. 004/2011, held by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) on Friday (09/02), was bought by Isolux Energia e Participações S/A, with a bid of BRL 27,980,040.00, 43.99% less than the amount originally planned by the Agency. The RAP is the recipe that the entrepreneur is entitled to for providing the transmission service from the start of commercial operations of the facility.
Lot J consists of transmission line Taubaté-Nova Iguaçu, with 247 kilometers (km) between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, and the substations of Nova Iguacu in Rio. The works will generate 1,900 direct jobs and should go into commercial operation until 26 months after signing the concession contract. The projects will allow the full energy flow from hydroelectric power plants on the Madeira River (Santo Antônio and Jirau) to major load centers in the Southeast. They will also contribute to increase the reliability of energy supply in Rio de Janeiro.
