(Updated at 2:05 pm)The collegiate board of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) approved the regulation related to the timetable for connecting Isolated System this Tuesday (9/13).
Besides projecting the deadlines for integrating transmission enterprises to the National Interconnected System (SIN), the norm also establishes that the costs for adapting generation and distribution agent installations will be incurred by them. The regulation, approved by ANEEL, will be published in the Official Federal Gazette in coming days. The transmission agents shall submit the carrying out of works to Agency appreciation. The regulation obeys Law no.12.111/2009.
The deadlines defined by technical areas consider the date projected in the concession contract for each isolated system's interconnection transmission line as a reference. In those cases where the date for interconnection of the isolated system projected in the contract is less than 24 months from the publication date of the new regulation, the deadline reference will be the publication of the resolution.
The norm also defines the separation between transmission and distribution assets, explaining which types of installations should be classified as transmission installations, distribution installations and other transmission installations. However, the agents are still obliged to send the proposal for separation of these assets to the Agency.
ANEEL also decided to open a public hearing for document exchange to deal with rules for special consumers*.Contributions can be sent by email starting Wednesday (9/14) until October 14 to ap050_@aneel.gov.br, or by mail to the Agency’s address at (SGAN, Quadra 603, Módulo I, Térreo, Protocolo Geral, CEP:70.830-030), in Brasília (DF), or by fax (61) 2192-8839. (FA/GL).
