The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) will hold the International Seminar on Prepayment of Electricity this Wednesday (21) and Thursday (22) in Brasília (DF). The objective is to learn about the international experience on the theme, discuss the possibility of applying this to the Brazilian market and obtain subsidies for regulating prepayment of electricity in the country.
Representatives from countries like the United Kingdom, Mozambique, South Africa, Argentina, Peru and Colombia will demonstrate their experiences with prepaid energy and members of associations will also make presentations with the most current information on the theme and the possible applications to Brazil’s reality. The subject will initially be discussed by the Agency at this seminar, and at another stage, through public hearings.
