Low income consumers who consume more than 30 kilowatts/hour (kWh) and less than 40 kWh have until 10/1 to enroll in the Single Registry for Federal Government Social Programs (CadÚnico) and thus guarantee they will continue receiving the discounts projected in the Social Rate of Electric Energy (TSEE).After enrollment, the consumer should go to his electricity distributor to prove registration and continue having the right to differentiated rates.
See the timetable below for the end of the benefit for those who no longer fit the new criteria, or for those who do but are not enrolled in CadÚnico.

Any low income consumer who meets the requirements to enjoy the social energy rate should go to the Family Grant program office in the city where they live.More information on this process is available at the MDS website. After registration, it is necessary to prove such at the distributor.(GL/DB/FA)
