Adoption of the prepayment mode for energy will be submitted for debate with society with subsidies obtained in the series of lectures given 9/21 and 22 during the International Seminar on Prepayment for Electrical Energy promoted by the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) in Brasília (DF).
At the end of the seminar, Agency director Romeu Rufino ratified the importance of the debate and emphasized the long path towards regulating the theme.“Knowing the international experiences, we can study the best model for the country,” concluded the director.
The superintendent of commercialization regulation at the Agency, Marcos Bragatto, affirmed the event exceeded the organization's expectations and informed that regulation on prepayment should go through several public hearings for there to be ample discussion with society.
The event gathered 200 participants among distribution company representatives and sector associations, consumer defense entities and ANEEL employees.
