Board approves the result of the September transmission auction

The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) collegiate board approved this Tuesday (10/4) the result and awarding of the Transmission Auction no.004/2011, held on September 2, 2011, at the BMF&Bovespa, in São Paulo.According to the edict, the businesses that won the tender have until November 10 to deliver the timetable, the quote for the transmission installations and the Specific Purpose Entity (SPE) or transmission utility documents.

Granting of the concession may occur in up to 30 days after delivery of the aforementioned documentation.No date has been defined for signing the contract.The documents that refer to the tender are available at the ANEEL website (www.aneel.gov.br), in Transmission Edicts.

The second transmission auction of 2011 saw an average discount of 22.74%.With that, total Permitted Annual Revenues (PAR)*, which is the ceiling for remuneration of winning tenderers for the exploitation of the undertakings will be R$ 263,660,972.00, compared to the initially projected R$ 341,269,260.00.

Auction no.006/2011, the third for transmission this year, is projected for December 16 and it should tender 10 lots, with undertakings in nine states.The draft of the edict was approved this Tuesday (10/4) and it will enter the public hearings phase this Thursday (10/6). Read more.(FA/GL)
