The executive board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved on Tuesday (10/25), in a public meeting, the readjustment of concessionaire Boa Vista Energia S.A. (BOA VISTA). However, the distributor can only practice the new rates after payment of sector obligations. The new rates become effective as of next Tuesday, November 1, to 87,000 consumer units in the city of Boa Vista.
The impediment to adjustment by reason of default provided in Article 10 of Law No. 8.631/93, which provides for the setting of rate levels for the public power. Thus, the concessionaire can only apply the approved rates when it meets its sector obligations.
