The Special Commission of Auction no. 008/2011 (A-1) reported on Friday (10/28) the Relevant Notice no. 1 / 2011 with the starting price of the energy to be negotiated at the event, scheduled for 11/30. The initial auction price is BRL 82.00 MWh (eighty-two Brazilian reais per megawatt/hour). The value is set by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME).
The auction will allow the purchase of electricity from existing projects ("A-1", 2011), from any source, with supply beginning on January 1, 2012, and the contractual term of three years. The event will take place through the Internet, with the closure of Energy Trading Contracts in a Regulated Environment (CCEAR) in the energy amount modality.
The auction notice was approved by the Board of ANEEL at the public meeting of 10/25.
