Energy consumers, agents and all interested segments of society may send contributions and participate in the 14 public hearings currently open by the National Energy Agency (ANEEL). The suggestions forwarded are assessed by the technical areas of the Agency, who make proposals for rules and regulations to be submitted for approval by the executive board in public meetings.
Important issues such as setting the Indicative Regulatory Agenda of ANEEL for the 2012-2013 biennium and the fourth review of Module 8 – Power Quality Procedures for Electric Power Distribution System in the National Electric System (PRODIST) are the subject. In addition, interested parties can contribute to the audience that will define the limits of quality indicators (DEC* and FEC **) of the sets of consumer units in six dealers (COELCE, Elektro, AES Eletropaulo, EDP Bandeirante, CPFL Piratininga and Companhia de Eletricidade do Amapá).
The public hearing is an instrument to support the decision-making process of the Agency for broad consultation with civil society and precedes the editing rules and regulations. In many cases, audiences can count on the performance of public meetings, to face the manifestation of stakeholders. Other hearings are held only for document exchange.
