Board evaluates resources of three companies against fines

The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) examined resource companies against fines imposed by the technical areas.
Among the infractions are contracts without the prior approval of ANEEL, the breach of collective goals of the continuity indicators of Equivalent Length of Interruption per Consumer Unit (DEC) and Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit (FEC), for 2008, and the breach of concession contract and ANEEL resolutions regarding the application of electricity rates.

The analysis was made ​​during a public meeting of the board last Tuesday (11/01). The decision ends the possibility of appeal at the administrative level.

Energisa Nova Friburgo Distribuidora de Energia S/A (ENF) Noncompliance with collective goals of the continuity indicators of Equivalent Length of Interruption per Consumer Unit (DEC) and Equivalent Frequency of Interruption per Consumer Unit (FEC), for 2008. BRL196,213.63 The Agency decided to learn and, on merit, uphold the appeal set up by Energisa Nova Friburgo. The penalty imposed by the Superintendency of Electricity Oversight Services (SFE) was reduced from BRL 364,587.16 to BRL 196,213.63.
Ampla Energia e Serviços S/A (AMPLA) Noncompliance with the concession contract and resolutions ANEEL regarding the application of electricity rates to Cooperativa de Eletrificação Rural de Resende Ltda. – CERES. BRL476,166.33 The Agency decided to learn and, on merit, uphold the appeal set up by AMPLA. The penalty imposed by the Superintendency of Electricity Oversight Services (SFE) was reduced from BRL 4,789,868.40 to BRL 476,166.33.
