The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) regulated the periods for termination of contracts by special customers* ofisolated systems that may be linked and do not meet the requirements to maintain this rating. Thus, special consumers should formalize to the concessionaire or permitee the distribution of its return to its captive consumers within 30 days after the effective date of the interconnection of the isolated system.
The migration of special consumers to the captive market of the concessionaires or the permittee must take place within 180 days after the formalization. Moreover, in cases which have already been connected, the formalization must be presented within 90 days after publication of the resolution.
The matter was discussed at Public Hearing 050/2011, from 09/14 to 10/14/2011. The PH received two contributions sent by the Association of Independent Power Producers (Apina) and the Secretariat for Economic Monitoring (SEAE) of the Ministry of Finance. The procedures for interconnection of isolated systems to the National Interconnected System (SIN) are contained in Normative Resolution No. 447/2011. (PG/GL)
* Special Consumers: Those who chose to purchase energy from supplier other than the local distribution concessionaire. They must have a demand of 500 kW and 3 MW and contract energy from renewable sources.
