Fonte: ANEEL

CLIC Energia publishes the tenth of 30 projects selected for the Revista de P&D 4th Edition, released on 08/17 during the Sixth Congress of Technological Innovation in Electric Power (CITENEL) and the Second Seminar on Energy Efficiency in the Electricity Sector (SEENEL), held in Fortaleza (CE). The goal is to provide society with the results achieved with the R&D projects. The publication on the website accompanies the order of insertion in the magazine.

The tenth article of CEMIG Distribuição S/A discusses the advantages of using Precision Field, high-precision apparatus for automated verification in the field, the performance of electronic or electromechanical meters. The adoption of the equipment has, as main goal, the calibration of these meters in places where they are installed, which prevents their removal and replacement and facilitates the monitoring of the procedure by the consumer.

Equipment enables high-precision calibration of meters at the installation site

The construction of a new equipment for field verification of the performance of electronic or electromechanical meters was the focus of the project developed by CEMIG Distribuição S/A and NANSEN S/A. According to the researchers, Precision Field, a high-precision meter, is characterized, among other things, for its easy operation, competitive cost, data storage capacity and low weight. Its main goal is to make the calibration of energy meters where they are installed, preventing the removal and replacement of meters that need to be calibrated. This helps reduce costs and consumer dissatisfaction with the procedure. Using Field Precision, consumers can monitor the calibration needed for meters to always act in accordance with standards established by the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) and the National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality (Inmetro). The new equipment has software that facilitates the transfer of information recorded in its memory. 10 prototypes were built and tested at the Laboratory for Electronic Measurement of CEMIG-D and in the laboratories of Nansen S/A. The test results were considered satisfactory. The high precision equipment is being used for calibration of meters installed in consumer units and suggestions for improvement have been registered for the update project, aimed at the industrial scale production.
