The executive board of the National Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved today (11/22) the annual rate adjustment of distributor Companhia de Eletricidade do Amapá (CEA). The new rate should enter into force on November 30, but CEA will not be allowed to apply the corrections if it remains in default of payment of various charges in the electricity sector.
The impediment to adjustment by reason of default provided in Article 10 of Law No. 8631/93, which provides for the setting of rate levels for the public service of electricity.
The average effect of the rates approved for the concessionaire was 95.51%. According to the Board of ANEEL, if the distributor of Amapá meets its industry obligations, the company's rates should be further analyzed in collegiate meeting.
