The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) has approved the opening of public hearing to discuss Resolution No. 433/2011, which deals with procedures to be adopted provisionally for the concessionaire which should have had periodic rate review in 2011, and also for those distributors and licensees who undergo the process in February 2012. The hearing, which began today (11/24), will receive contributions until December 8 this year.
With the public hearing, it is expected to discuss how the application of rates on an interim basis will be done, until they are published in the methodologies adopted in the 3rd Cycle of Periodic Rate Revisions (CRTP).
The discussion of a new schedule was due to the delay in setting the 3rd CRTP, precluding the review of the distribution rate on the date specified in the concession contract. The third cycle was approved in November this year. Read more here.
