CLIC Energia publishes the eighth of 30 projects selected for Revista de R&D 4th Edition, launched on 08/17 during the Sixth Congress of Technological Innovation in Electric Power (CITENEL) and Second Seminar on Energy Efficiency in the Electricity Sector (SEENE ), held in Fortaleza (CE).The goal is to provide society with the results achieved with the R&D projects. The publication on the site accompanies the order of insertion in the magazine.
The twelfth article, of Light Serviços de Eletricidade S/A with Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), Gama Filho University (UGF) and support from consultants and Cognitor e Eletromagnetics, deals with developing a computational model of the transformer, in three dimensions , which simulates the thermal behavior of the device as a function of ambient temperature and load curve. Such detail allows determining the hot spots of the transformer and thus discovering its loading limits, an important step to reduce operating and expansion costs. The aim of this study was to explore the maximum potential use of transformers without compromising its performance and life.
