The National Energy Agency (ANEEL) approved the hydropower inventory studies of the Água BrancaCreek, in Mato Grosso do Sul, they were approved by ANEEL and published by SGH in the Official Journal of 11/25, through Order No. 4522.Such studies identified a use with 2.9 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity in the locality.

With the approval of these studies, hydroelectric projects identified will be part of the portfolio of plants available for preparation of feasibility studies and basic project.

The basic design of small hydroelectric plant (SHP) Rincão, however, located in Lages, Santa Catarina, was disapproved by the Superintendência de Gestão e Estudos Hidroenergéticos(SGH), for breach of articles of Resolution No. 395/2008. The articles refer to the "development studies or projects supported by consistent and appropriate studies to the basic step and the size of each enterprise, as well as to meet the good level of technical solutions for projects and facilities."

By Order No. 4526, published in the Official Journal of 11/25, the registration of Lautis Empreendimentos e Participações Ltda. for the preparation of studies of the PCH became inactive.
